In the first week of February, the South East Water Scientific Services laboratory was reassessed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). During this year’s visit, the assessors observed our testing methods and reviewed our quality system from the perspective of the amended ISO 17025 standard. This international standard was updated in 2017 and all accreditations to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 will cease to be valid from the 1st of December, 2020. We are delighted to inform our customers that we have successfully passed the reassessment, and the transition to the new standard will be signed off shortly. This latest version includes the recently added pesticides analysis, performed using our new Triple Quadrupole Gas Chromatograph (GC/MS/MS) method.
